Amsterdam’s The Klittens release ‘Universal Experience’, their newest single.
‘Universal Experience’ is the first taster of a new collection of material from The Klittens, and by all accounts, it came about naturally, and stuck quickly. The band’s drummer Laurie Zantinge shared that “Yaël walked into the room, randomly sang the chorus of ‘Universal Experience’ and we were immediately hooked. I think it took us less than two hours before we had the whole song finished and recorded the demo. The catchiness of the chorus just made it really easy to make it into a full pop song”.
The ease of its conception can also be found in the ease of its enjoyment, with an ear-worm chorus, bouncy instrumentation, diverting backing vocals and jazzy outro, the track can smoothly sail straight into your weekly rotation. Recorded and mixed by Remko Schouten, and mastered by Mikey Young, ‘Universal Experience’ is joined by a nostalgic and colourful stop-motion video, the partner-in-crime to the track’s own playfulness.
Alongside gearing up for their next series of releases, The Klittens are also preparing to join Personal Trainer on a January UK tour that’ll take them them swiftly into the new year.
