Listen: Brooklyn’s Maxband Share ‘Nothing’s Changed’ and Announce Album ‘On Ice’ via Holm Front

Brooklyn’s Maxband have released the dynamic lead single ‘Nothing’s Changed’ for their upcoming debut album, ‘On Ice’. The single showcases a newfound sense of community within the band, with each member having the chance to spotlight their own talents.

‘Nothing’s Changed’ fluctuates between timid instrumentals led by shy vocals – only to be overpowered at the start of the chorus by a statement strongly lamenting that “it’s always the same”. There’s a sense of desperation in the repetition of the chorus throughout the track, grasping for change and feeling.

This snippet into Maxband’s debut suggests a slight diversion in the band’s trajectory, as more cohesion can be heard than ever before, working brilliantly in the band’s favour in order to create a truly unique indie rock album. Speaking on their upcoming release, vocalist Max Savage says, “we’re a much tighter band now, and we’ve improved as musicians individually. Everyone’s voices can be heard on this record, and our winsome personalities are reflected in each song.”

‘On Ice’ will be released via Sports Team’s Holm Front Label on April 5th. Pre order a limited first pressing here.
