Listen: Cork’s Pebbledash Share New Single ‘Tiles & Moss’ Ahead of UK Tour

Crunchy right through to its core, Cork quartet Pebbledash, predictably score high in the first taste of their new EP ‘To Cast the Sea in Concrete’.

After sharing their debut EP ‘Four Portraits of The Same Ugly House’ in February, Pebbledash solidified themselves as one of our favourite up-and-comers, bending expectations with their nostalgia-infused noise while keeping the location of Cork City at the heart of their songwriting. It isn’t hard to pinpoint what makes Pebbledash special, as all of it is present throughout ‘Tiles & Moss’. Their fuzzy shoegaze guitars, a signature of the band, leave one’s tummy turning in limerence, while the remarkable lyrics paint self depreciation in a perfect mix of simple and impactful- filling the floodgates to maximum capacity and burst open by the luscious vocal duets of Fionnbharr Hickey and Asha Egan McCutcheon in something of an awesome manner.

The track has become a staple of the band’s live set, with synth player Cormac Donnovan O’Neil describing the track as “Quintessential Pebbledash, exploring so many sides of what makes up our musical DNA”.

Pebbledash will open every night of the ‘So Young Tour’ later this month alongside Mên An Tol and fellow Cork band, Cardinals. Tickets on sale now and available here.
