Black Nylon release atmospheric debut single ‘Juliette’.
From the opening note the guitars send you into a trance, an echo chamber of mystery. Every slight movement is picked up and reverberated, leaving you immersed in the wall of sound of ‘Juliette’. Black Nylon bring a polarising yet deeply emotive sound that feels distinctly authentic. Warped by sonic shimmers and fuelled with a heavy rhythm section, even their earliest work feels timeless, with their live performances carrying an unwavering, effortless cool.
The yearning vocal style is very much influenced by shoegaze, which sits on top of the guitars perfectly. The chorus is cathartic, anthemic and one cannot help but head bang to it. ‘Juliette’ is haunting – It’s hard to not enter into its infectious world of darkness and melancholy.
