Listen: Dublin’s Croíthe Share Debut Single ‘The Kiss’

Croíthe’s moody debut ‘The Kiss’ is a succinct track pulsing with energy and angst, formed around performing their first live shows. Incorporating live elements makes for an impressive and atmospheric first release that stays with you after your first listen.

Constructed by reciting a poem written by vocalist Caodán Connolly, the band shared that “the song captures the feeling of youth and the struggle of feeling trapped in one’s surroundings, ultimately expressing a desire to let go of what holds you back and shake off negativity”.

Rhetorical calls of “are you feeling me now?” and perfectly noisy instrumentals close out the track, with clear shoegaze influences and earnest lyrics making the perfect alternative track. As one of Dublin’s latest bands, Croíthe have already proven their potential and expertly set the tone for their future releases.
