Employing accomplished production and a precise translation of emotion to sound, the audio-visual duo, Glows’ latest single ‘Pull’ magnifies the ugliest pores of a rotting relationship.
‘Pull’ places heartbreak under a digital microscope and supersizes it until it’s a complex shade of bit-crushed melancholy. Scattered with the protagonists ‘audio memories’ and snippets of what is no longer, the track exists on several astral planes, offering realities which are always just out of reach.
Glows’ combination of sound, visuals, and music is what gives their artistic practice it’s individuality. The single is accompanied by a film directed by Felix BH of the duo, and is comprised of ‘narrative threads, slow tv, and footage which is just about style’ he explains. Where audio and visual intersect, you will discover Glows’ neither hostile nor congenial habitat.
Released via London based tastemakers Slow Dance, ‘Pull’ is taken from Glow’s upcoming mixtape ‘LA, 1620’, due for release on the 15th September.
