London trio headboy share their debut single ‘Televised’, via Fire Talk Records’ Open Tab imprint.
For a bunch of newcomers, headboy are impressively self-assured. Earnestly transporting us back into a riff-heavy timestamp of retrospective adolescence, dismantled Indie, and unforeseen guitar-solos, their debut single ‘Televised’ is a giddy trip down memory-lane; racking up classic-chorus bonus-points in very little time at all.
Some landmark moments are precedent. Others set the marker for bottomless -appeal in manners its predecessors were unable to predict. Sparkling, crisp, and devilishly inviting, ‘Televised’ cools the senses like a heart-first dive into the refreshingly unashamed pool of new-age Britpop.
Consistently charming, ‘Televised’ is undoubtedly the next great escape from the confides of routine banal. A blazoned introduction to the glossily unrestrained playground of headboy.
