Leeds’ Mush have been on our radar a while. Sporadic angular lo-fi gems have been released over the last two years and they’ve now signed to label, Memphis Industries to release something a little longer. The ‘Induction party’ EP will be released in May and the band have released the first single from it titled ‘Litvinenko’. The single comes at an exciting time for the band as they’re about to embark on a UK tour with London’s Yak. Guitarist and vocalist, Dan Hyndman gives an insight into the inner workings of the band “Fundamentally we identify as music fans as much as artists. I write music that I want to hear for my own enjoyment. I’ve always admired people who can create visceral and inspiring art without carrying on as some transcendent being. Having your influences on your sleeve and being open is just an extension of that”.
Listen to the single above and add it to your playlists below. We’ve added ‘Litvinenko’ to The So Young List on Spotify which you can find here.
