Track: Sleaford Mods
The new single ‘So Trendy’ features Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell and hints towards what we can expect from the new album ‘UK GRIM’ on Friday 10th March. Exploring themes of technology obsession and social media manipulation, the track urges society to look up from their screens before it is too late.
What They Said: “Perry got in touch and said he wanted to work with us, he’s a really cool guy and his back catalogue clearly speaks for itself, so we jumped at it, and ‘So Trendy’ grew from there.”
“So Trendy concerns itself with the ongoing polarisation of living life through smart devices. The daily experience is a series of passwords or facial recognitions that lead us into familiar Arenas of consumer marketing and conformity.”
