Listen: Hotel Lux deliver their ode to Albert Pierrepoint with new track ‘The Last Hangman’

Hotel Lux arrived in London via Portsmouth and have been honing their live show for the last 12 months. Debut release ‘Envoi’ gave a sign of things to come back in January of this year but now we have some real substance. A real representation of the band that we’ve come to admire upon the capitals small stages. ‘The Last Hangman’ describes the dire tale of Hangman, Albert Pierrepoint and the band described the track in our lastest edition.

“The Last Hangman is our Ode to Albert Pierrepoint. Pierrepoint was dubbed, although factually incorrect, as the last official executioner of the UK. The song is about the dubious morality of Pierrepoint, the double life he led and his eventual guilt-ridden demise”
