London’s Morgan Noise Share New Single ‘Too Big’.
How do you deal with touring as Fat Dog’s Saxophone player for about three years with hardly any break? Well, in Morgan Noise’s case, write a song about your experiences, of course, documenting all the relentlessness, exhaustion and bedazzlement of hitting the road with one of the UK’s most sought after emerging live exports of the decade. Oh, and then, go on a tour yourself, naturally.
In anticipation of their shows opening for Porridge Radio on their farewell tour across this week, Morgan Noise’s latest solo release ‘Too Big’ is a track that doesn’t sit still. Layered in oblique chords and jazzy mystery, the track snakes, ladders, slinks and skulks, first left, right, and then diagonally. Constantly moving forward, its structure is ever-shifting, ever-mutating. And gluing it all together is Morgan’s vocal, a thick southern accent adding a warm familiarity, while also magnifying the strangeness of it all, of coming and going, coming and going, from bed to bed, place to place, country to country.
