Listen: Melbourne’s Delivery return with ‘Measuring Cup’ and Announce Third Album ‘Zone 3’ via Heavenly Recordings

Melbourne’s Delivery return with ‘Measuring Cup’ and announce third album ‘Zone 3’ via Heavenly Recordings. One of Australia’s punchiest punk-rock outfits are zeroing in on everything that makes them such an arresting act.

A five-piece born out of the lockdowns of 2020, Delivery have garnered critical acclaim for their distinct take on garage and punk rock. After tours with The Vaccines and even an endorsement from everyone’s favourite grumpy uncle of punk Henry Rollins, the group have cut the fat and delivered a perfect summary of their appeal with the relentless ‘Measuring Cup’, their latest single ahead of third album ‘Zone 3’ due in February next year.

Easily the greatest song I’ve heard that tackles disparity in modern society and atomisation via a kitchen utensil metaphor (it’s a shallow pool granted but still a badge of honour), ‘Measuring Cup’ wastes no time in letting you know exactly what it’s all about. Brimming with attitude from the start and carried by a rollicking bassline that sets a restless pace, you’re instantly taken aboard a party train that teeters just the right amount off the tracks. With a chorus that sits comfortably with some of punk rock’s catchiest earworms and verses adorned with vocal lines designed to stick in your subconscious only to reemerge when you least expect it, it’s as close to a calling card for the group that you’re likely to have the pleasure of hearing.

Designed as a celebration of common ground found even in the most unlikely of places, ‘Measuring Cup’ is, as the band puts it themselves, “an invitation to get on a level together and join the club”. Like the conversation with a stranger on a night out that ends up being disarmingly profound in its simplicity and joy, this is a track determined to have a good time, and you’d be pretty stuffy not to tag along for the ride.

Delivery will be touring the UK in November 2026, ahead of the release of ‘Zone 3’ early next year.

We’ll be hosting the band at The Elephants Head on Nov 5th. Support comes from Leeds band Vehicle. Free Tickets here.
