Weighing in at 2 minutes and 31 seconds, ‘Jame Gumb’ serves as more of a statement of intent than a single. The Parrots, hailing from Madrid, have announced their debut record ‘LOS NIÑOS SIN MIEDO’ which will reach our ears on August 26th via Heavenly Recordings. Paired with that news, was our New Music of the Week ‘Jame Gumb’. The band declare that the track is about their problems with Sleep Paralysis and the message is loud and clear. The track tosses and turns like a sleepless night, it’s bass line rumbling through like an impending nightmare. Intention is the stand out exclamation, The Parrots have clearly moved on from their reputation as Madrid’s garage stoners. Whilst there’s no question about whether the weed remains in hand, the band have quite simply upped their game into darker and more accomplished territories.
The debut record ‘Los Niños Sin Miedo’ is out 26/08/2016 and you can Pre Order here.
