Listen: NYC’s Slow Fiction Share ‘Monday’ and Announce New EP ‘Crush’

Fast paced and desperately trying to put everything onto the table, ‘Monday’ is the latest single by NYC’s Slow Fiction. The track wastes no time in greeting you with crashing cymbals and intricate guitar lines, with the repeated admittance of “I can’t stand my fake inner peace, and I can’t stand my bad energy”.

‘Monday’ is captivating, from the speed of the track to the detail in the instrumentals, and energy in the vocals by Julia Vassallo. This single differs from the band’s previous release, ‘Apollo’, which had a heartfelt sound – but the raw emotion is still present in ‘Monday’, with urgency and blunt honesty embodied in the lyrics.

Slow Fiction are set to showcase their talents to the indie music scene as one of the best upcoming bands, as proven by their consistently impressive releases that immediately charm listeners with their refreshing take on rock.

The ‘Crush’ EP is out on May 24th. Pre order here.
