Channeling DIY homegrown dreaminess and idiosyncratic psychedelia, Pedrum Siadatian, – guitarist of the Allah-Las – has stepped out on his own with his aptly titled solo project, PAINT. PAINT is all about self expression, writing songs that speak volumes in their messiness as they mimic the complexity of human feeling. ‘Daily Gazette’, the first track to drop from the upcoming self titled LP, and is the perfect anecdote to post summer blues. Languid guitars sounds bathed in LA sunshine ride high over life affirming lyrics, as Siadatian pulls you into his gorgeous world of hazy Rock N Roll
The Sam Kristofski directed video is a playful yet meaningful affair, as it follows Siadatian goofing around in LA in order to escape from the ever-present stress of the daily world – whether it be terrifying news stories or gossip column fodder. Its immersed in trippy, soft visuals that add an element of ethereal beauty to the already delicate sounds of the track.
In a way, ‘Daily Gazette’ is Siadatian providing his listeners with a three minute session of rock ’n’ roll meditation. So Escape for a while into his world of gentle guitars and throwback pop, you’ll feel better about the world when you return back to earth.
