Radio Free Alice have announced their sophomore EP, ‘Empty Words’, due August 20th. The announcement comes with the release of their new single ‘Toyota Camry’.
Produced by Peter Katis (Interpol, Bloc Party), the track is laden with jangly yet forceful guitars reminiscent of indie-rock of the noughties and underpinned by playful, 80s style backing vocals, next to which Noah Learmonth’s distinctive voice cuts through.
The Melbourne-based band have been cropping up amongst predictive conversations since the release of their self-titled debut EP in 2023 and its subsequent acclaimed follow up ‘Polyester’. If their live reputation so far is anything to go by, the fact they’ve joined lineups with the likes of The Killers, Big Special, Royel Otis, and Sorry, and played festivals around the world, clearly shows they’re winning over the audiences that get to see them.
They’re currently in the middle of a run of (very) sold out UK live dates, including two nights at The George Tavern, two nights at The Shacklewell Arms, a show at The Windmill, and one at Sebright Arms – hitting London’s cult venues in one fell swoop.
