After an unexpected shove into the spotlight, Radio Free Alice have released a new track, ‘Rule 31’, the first since the release of an EP this summer. The release comes at the end of the band’s sold out UK tour, ending at Scala, London.
Guitarist Noah Learmonth’s distinct vocals call out throughout ‘Rule 31’, following themes of change, growth, and distance. Opening with a tension between guitar and lyrics, the track delves into a cohesive soundwave, with each element of instrumentation from the band joining to create a hopeful, yearning sound. The new single was produced with previous Radio Free Alice collaborator Peter Katis, known for his work with musicians like The National – backing the notion that the group have great things coming their way.
‘Rule 31’ comes arguably at the height of Radio Free Alice’s success (so far), a fleshed out single working as the perfect soundtrack to their own journey.
