Love is a hard word to take back and often a difficult expression for most people to admit in the first place, but what do you do when you do start feeling this way for a special someone? How do we know when it’s the right time to shout it from the rooftops or whether they’re going to say it too? Well it seems like this is a common fright as this new single grants.
Talking on the track, lead vocalist Katie shares that, “This song is personal to me and quite frankly lays all the emotion down right in front of your ears and eyes. I’m not known for verbally saying “I love you” to the people I love.”
There’s a coming of age realisation throughout ‘L Word’, which is shown in their house party music video, and can be related to platonic as well as romantic relationships too. With a fuzzy, celestial sound, the song seems like it would fit perfectly into your favourite Sunday night film binge and invites the listener to cry along with them.
