Having spent the best part of the last two years cultivating a chorus-laden notoriety country-wide, ‘Everybody in The UK’, the latest single from Manchester’s The Goa Express, shines in its ‘no-frills, no-fuss’ approach to Indie adolescence; a balmy trip back to a not-too-distant era of alchemic-anthem and epitomic cool.
Like a salt and vinegar stained grin on the face of nostalgia, ‘Everybody in The UK’ doesn’t stray far from the path of palatable-classics, yet instantly captivates with an un-compromised taste for generational-exploration; perfectly pin-pointing the tenderness in time between yesterday’s fondness, and tomorrow’s unburdened unknowns.
Charming, self-assured, and boundlessly-observational, with ‘Everybody in The UK’, The Goa Express truly appear to have come into their own.
