Back in December 2017, Crewel Intentions were bubbling to the surface and we met up with frontman, Chilli Jesson to talk about the dissolution of his band Palma Violets, the slow build of his new project and writing lyrics with his sister, Georgie. Fast forward 11 months and the band have finally released their debut single ‘Youth In Overload’, a track that has cemented Crewel Intentions place in the hearts of those who have attended some of their small and sweaty gigs this year. It’s live where the band have made their mark so far in 2018, with Chilli delivering the natural showmanship, flailing arms and thrusted hips that we saw in Palmas, alongside a matured vocal, crooning stories which dig a little deeper into the man behind the mic.
‘Youth In Overload’ is released via Big Score and comes ahead of a headline show at Electrowerkz and a UK tour with Johnny Marr. Check out the new single below.
‘Youth in Overload’ has been added to our Radio 2018 Playlist on Spotify which you can find here.
