Listen: Westside Cowboy Share New Single ‘Can’t See’ from Upcoming Second EP

Offering a second serving from their upcoming EP, ‘So Much Country ‘Till We Get There’, Westside Cowboy release ‘Can’t See’ – a pulsating track that seems to capture an uncertain moment in time.

The first song recorded for the five track EP in New York, the band expand their signature ‘Britainicana’ sound as they continue to cement themselves as everyone’s favourite ‘ones to watch’. Westside Cowboy’s charm is the humble nature of their music, a sound that’s in-touch with their roots and once again showcased in ‘Can’t See’.

Gradually building a tension throughout the track towards the bridge, “you can’t see but you try” conversationally repeats between guitarist Reuben Haycocks and bassist Aoife Anson O’Connell, a nervous phrase that becomes oddly affirming. The band shared on the new single, “it’s a short one, but we feel like we fit everything in: a riff, some verses, some choruses, Conga breakdown and some other stuff. We like songs that feel like they are going somewhere, cycling, driving, pogoing, but this one’s definitely a runner. Whether that’s towards you or with you, I guess that would be up to the listener to decide.”
